MENTORSHIP AWARD
The CSPT Mentorship Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to mentoring trainees, early-career scientists, or colleagues in the field of pharmacology and therapeutics. This award celebrates those who have provided guidance, support, and inspiration, fostering the professional and personal growth of others and contributing to the advancement of the discipline.
Award
$1,000 CAD cash prize and engraved plaque. The recipient will be recognized at the CSPT Annual Meeting and will receive a commemorative plaque.
Eligibility
Nominees must be members of CSPT in good standing. The award is open to individuals at any career stage who have shown sustained excellence in mentorship within academic, clinical, or industry settings related to pharmacology and therapeutics.
Criteria
The selection committee will consider:
- Evidence of impactful mentorship, including career development, research guidance, and personal support.
- Contributions to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for mentees.
- Testimonials or examples of mentees’ achievements attributable to the nominee’s mentorship.
Nomination
Nominations must include:
- Two letters (maximum 2 pages) outlining the nominators perspective on the nominee’s mentorship approach and impact.
- Letters must come from current or former mentees. At least one of them nominators must be a CSPT member in good standing.
- The nominee’s curriculum vitae (maximum 5 pages) that highlights mentorship activities.
