Trainee and Postdoctoral Committee

The Trainee  and Postdoctoral Committee was established in September 2025.The Committee has a mandate to promote trainee engagement, professional development and leadership within the CSPT. It also provides a mechanism for trainee perspectives to inform the work of the CSPT. The Committee shall consist of at least three (3) CSPT trainee members in good standing. Membership should reflect different trainee stages and disciplines.

The Committee aims to:

1. Organize trainee-focused activities and develop initiatives that promote learning, skills development, and networking in areas related to pharmacology and therapeutics.
2. Support career development for trainees across clinical, academic, industry, regulatory and other career paths related to pharmacology and therapeutics.
3. Promote equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization and accessibility within trainee activities and representation.
4. Facilitate communication among trainees and among other CSPT committees in coordination with the Board of Directors through newsletters, social media, meetings and other channels.
5. Recommend best practices and provide feedback on trainee-related policies, awards, funding opportunities and meeting programming.
